Rob joined the Tufts University Family Medicine Residency program after completing his medical school training in the Boston area at Tufts University. Following residency, he decided to stay at Tufts to continue his clinical work and complete the Master Teacher Fellowship in conjunction with the University of Dundee. Following this fellowship, he stayed on as clinical faculty in the Tufts University Family Medicine Residency. His interested include medical education and teaching, integrative medicine, and office based procedures.

Shaylagh was born, raised, and trained in New England and proudly continues to practice in the Boston area. She practices full-spectrum family medicine including inpatient rounding, outpatient precepting, and outpatient clinical care of adults, children, and pregnant people. Her clinical and educational passions include quality improvement, curriculum design, competency based medical education, and education research. At the residency, she is the Director of Population Health Education where she oversees the annual population health projects completed by the residents and clinic staff. Outside of work she spends her time raising her three adorable children.

Jennifer was born in the Beverly Hills, California, but didn’t stick around long enough to realize her next door neighbor was an actor. At the age of 7 she moved with her family to Hong Kong, still a British colony then, and adapted to living in an international city in the heart of East Asia. During her time there she weathered scares of bird flu as well as the SARS epidemic, and gained a deep respect for physicians and their dedication despite the risk to themselves. She originally intended to become a biology PhD, however at Barnard College in New York, she volunteered at a soup kitchen and a homeless shelter and realized her passions for serving the community. She added the extra classes that it would take to become a pre-med and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Biology. She took two years off to volunteer in pediatric endocrinology at the Children’s Hospital of NY, where she learned of the ever-growing problem of pediatric obesity in urban underserved populations, and completed her undergraduate research investigating the source of arsenic ground water poisoning in Bangladesh, a huge public health problem that has led to increased risks of cancer in adults and stunted cognitive development in children. She was excited to find herself at Tufts University School of Medicine, where she volunteered at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center to teach adolescent girls about health, well-being and the empowering effects of the Japanese art of Taiko drumming. She realized the alignment of her interests in caring for the young and old within the community after her third year family medicine clerkship at Tufts CHA, and is delighted to return as a resident and a “double jumbo.” In her free time, she enjoys digital photography, travel, watching movies, cooking and finding new places to eat with friends.

Dr. Crespo was born and raised on Long Island, New York and completed college as a first generation college student. She completed medical school at Stony Brook University, New York. She moved to the Boston area to complete residency at Tufts University Family Medicine Residency at CHA with an area of concentration in integrative medicine. Her goal is to provide care to patients with a comprehensive approach by incorporating special interests such as mindfulness, health at every size, and osteopathic manipulation - all with an equity lens. She looks forward to completing training in medical education to educate future medical students and residents in using integrative medicine to help our patients heal. In her free time, she loves painting, drawing, cooking, taking photos, yoga, being an amateur runner, visiting National parks, and spending time with her fiancé and their big tailless cat Petey.

Caitlin D'Agata, MD is the Program Director and Assistant Professor at the Tufts Family Medicine Residency program. At the Malden Family Medicine Center, she sees patients and supervises residents. Her areas of clinical and educational interest are improving primary care for people with developmental disabilities and infants, children and adolescents. In her free time, Caitlin loves playing sports, particularly hockey, reading and traveling.

Bobbi Dennison is a faculty member and Assistant Professor at the Tufts Family Medicine Residency program, where she also completed her residency training. She has long had a love for sports and exercise and completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship to gain expertise in caring for athletes, weekend warriors, and those just starting their fitness journey. Following fellowship, she returned to the residency program, where she is currently the Director of Sports Medicine. Bobbi enjoys great variety in her work, sharing time between her primary care clinic, working as a consultant in her sports medicine clinic, precepting, and teaching residents and medical students. Additionally, she is the team physician for Malden High School and covers football games, as well as other local events, including the Boston Marathon. In her free time, Bobbi loves spending time with her husband and rescue rabbit, running, playing sports of nearly any variety, and being outside.

Judy Fleishman is full time faculty at the TFMR. Her teaching focuses on advanced communication and relationship skills, teamwork, leadership development, quality improvement and innovation, and health equity. She coaches resident improvement teams and workgroups--so all residency members become strategic thinkers and effective change agents. She also works individually with residents helping them in their personal and professional development as people and physicians.

Andrea Gordon is one of the core faculty at the Tufts University Family Medicine Residency Program and is Director of Integrative Medicine. This area  touches on  all aspects of Family Medicine, bringing in different world views, approaches to patients and non-pharmacologic options. She has been working with others on  moving the curriculum towards being wellness-oriented, rather than having the traditional illness focus. Besides seeing her own panel of patients, Dr. Gordon does Integrative Medicine consultations for the department and teaches residents and medical students during these visits. She co-leads the Healer's Art course  at the Tufts medical school and hosts medical students and outside residents doing Integrative Medicine electives. . Another area of interest is narrative medicine, and she is co-chair of the annual FMEC Poetry and Prose competition and leads the Poetry and Prose reading at annual STFM conferences. She enjoys getting outside and reading novels and mysteries and is always happy to have books recommended. As her husband, Allen Shaughnessy, is also on the faculty, their son Jesse assumes that he has courtesy privileges as well – but we don’t let him near the patients.

Dr. Klein has a longstanding interest in the Patient Centered Medical Home and worked for 5 years as Medical Director of the Broadway Health Center. Her work and interest has been to serve underserved patients, tapping into patients own motivations for health and wellness. Dr. Klein moved to the Malden Family Medicine Residency because she loves working with Residents, supporting their growth and development. For fun Dr. Klein spends time raising her 3 children (and a dog), going hiking, biking and being outdoors.

Honor MacNaughton, MD was born and raised in Massachusetts. With the exception of three years in NYC, she has been practicing family medicine in Malden since 2004 and has been a member of our core faculty since September 2010. Her areas of interest include residency education and increasing access to sexual and reproductive health care, through advocacy, training, and the integration of services into primary care. She oversees our RHEDI program, co-directs the Reproductive Health Care and Advocacy Fellowship and is the director of the Cambridge Reproductive Health Clinic. In her free time, she loves to travel, read, be outside and spend time with her wife and two children.

Deyang was born and raised in a Tibetan Buddhist household in India. At an early age, she realized that access to health care is a fundamental human right as she witnessed disparities in access depending on one's socioeconomic status. She wanted to become a doctor and pursued her goals after her family moved to the United States. She realized the impact of primary care on her patients' health and became a family medicine doctor. She then completed a fellowship in Reproductive Health Care and Advocacy as she wanted to work on improving access to crucial health care to her individual patients, as well as the community at large. Her interest continues to lie in reproductive health, and advocacy, especially in the form of teaching residents and medical students.

Dr. Shaughnessy has edited several books and published over 200 research papers in the areas of medical education, continuing medical education, evidence-based medicine, pharmacology, family medicine education, prescription writing, and medical information management. He is assistant editor for American Family Physician and Senior Editor of Essential Evidence Plus. He has received several awards for teaching, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Family Medicine Education Consortium and The Innovative Program Award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. He is a member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society. In 2022 he was awarded The Lynn and Joan Carmichael Recognition Award for outstanding leadership in advancing family medicine as a discipline, the highest award given by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

Randi landed in the residency after a peripatetic learning journey. Following four years at the University of Pennsylvania, she completed medical school at Tulane University during the “Katrina years.” Following residency at the University of California Davis Family Medicine Residency, she crossed the country to join the Fellowship. Following graduation she stayed on as faculty in the Tufts University Family Medicine Residency and the Fellowship. She was selected to complete the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Emerging Leaders Fellowship. Randi is the Director of Faculty Development for the Residency. She is on the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians. She is also an active clinician and researcher, publishing numerous research papers in the areas of medical education and the treatment of patients with opioid use disorder.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Tammaro is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine and the TUFMR Cambridge Health Alliance residency, where she developed an interest in obstetrics and perinatal care. She completed a family medicine obstetrics fellowship with Brown University and worked in Rhode Island before returning to TUFMR as the Director of Family Medicine - Obstetrics education.

Tia is a native of southwest Louisiana, who always knew she wanted to be a physician, but her passion around social justice, international health, and activism led her in a circuitous route to becoming an MD. After serving two years in the Peace Corps working in Youth Development, she realized how important public health matters to improving health outcomes in low resource areas, and decided to return to Louisiana to study public health at Tulane. Tia's work in housing rights and HIV prevention during that time only cemented the fact that structural violence, racism, homophobia and social influencers of health constantly prevented people from getting the care they needed. She decided that she needed to study medicine in an environment that would teach her to fight this injustice through medicine. In Cuba, she trained in spanish with opportunities in real life epidemics as she worked through both Dengue and Cholera epidemics. At the residency program, she is the Director of Health Equity, and enjoys designing educational opportunities with residents as well as speaking to medical students and working with community partners to advocate for health for all.
