1. Test results. You can now see more results (lab, biopsy, and radiology studies) in your MyCHArt test results section. It’s important for you to know a few details about this:
-
All your lab results, including imaging and pathology tests, are released to your MyCHArt account immediately after the results are finalized in our medical record system. For tests done during an overnight hospital visit, the results are released when you are discharged from the hospital
-
You may see your test results before your provider. If so, please don’t try to interpret them yourself. Your provider will review them and send you a message with the details. You may want to wait for this message before you look at the results. If you do see results before your provider, please look for a message from your care team within a few business days with more information.
- Tests results might not all display at once. MyCHArt will send you a notice when it gets new test results (no more than once an hour). If these notifications are too much, you can find instructions on how to adjust your MyCHArt notice preferences in our tip sheet section (above).
2. Visit notes. You will now have access to notes from your provider for many clinical encounters. If you have questions about the content of these visit notes, please discuss them with your provider at your next visit.
