Injuries and illnesses that affect your joints, muscles or nerves can make it hard to live a full, active life. A CHA physiatrist (fiz-eye-ah-trist) can help.
Your Care at its Best
Physiatrists are doctors with special training in the movement of the body. They help without surgery, using methods like injections, mobility aids and exercise to help increase motion and reduce pain.
During your visit, our physiatry team will evaluate your physical health, lifestyle and emotional wellness. We will work with you to create a personal treatment plan. The goal is to improve your quality of life and get you back to your daily activities.
Please note: CHA physiatrists are not pain management specialists. Although they may help with pain, they do not provide long-term medication management or behavioral health services.
A whole team for your care
Getting good results takes a team effort. Our physiatrists work closely with our orthopedic surgeons and physical and occupational therapists to give patients the best possible care. After diagnosing your issue, your physiatrist may recommend you work with our rehab team. Or, they may find that you would benefit from surgery or medication. Whatever the case, we’ll help you connect with the people and resources you need.
