Dear Future Family Medicine Physician:
You have chosen to be a physician at such a vital time in our country. There have been amazing achievements in healthcare that have not reached everyone equally. We must take the opportunity to address severe inequities that have gone on too long and provide excellent care to our patients and community. There is a need for a forward thinking primary care based health system. That's where we come in.
Tufts University Family Medicine Residency Program is a university affiliated community based program sponsored by Cambridge Health Alliance, the last fully public hospital in Massachusetts. Cambridge Health Alliance really GETS primary care. The majority of physicians at CHA are primary care physicians and the infrastructure has been built to support it with an electronic medical record system, team based care, population management tools, robust translation services and a dedication to community as well as individuals' health.
Our residency program was a P4 program and our current areas of focus are reproductive healthcare, health equity and outpatient clinical medicine. Our program will not only give you excellent exposure to a first rate clinical education - we'll also equip you to be life-long learners and teach you the tools of information mastery and help you develop executive skills needed to be leaders in your practice, clinics, communities and beyond.

Tufts University School of Medicine welcomes you to learn more about the Tufts University Family Medicine residency at Cambridge Health Alliance. Our nationally recognized program educates residents in the communities they serve, with all the advantages and resources of an academic university program. Residents and residency faculty are part of the Tufts Family Medicine department, a large network of clinicians, educators, and scholars working in greater New England. Tufts medical students regularly rotate at the residency, one of our core Family Medicine teaching sites.
