When your doctor needs to see what’s happening inside your body, they may order imaging services, like CT, MRI, Ultrasound or X-Ray.

These services are provided by CHA's outstanding Department of Radiology. No matter what test or procedure you’re having, our team will make you feel comfortable, confident and supported. Many of our staff speak multiple languages, and interpreter services are always available.

How to Schedule an Imaging Study

CHA patients who have an order for imaging - please call 617-665-1298.

External facilities/providers - please fax orders to 617-665-3265 with the following information:

> Authorization status and Prior Authorization number, start and end date
> Ordering Provider NPI, name, address, phone, and fax
> If no authorization is required, please document this on the order

Services We Offer

Bone Density: A test that measures the strength of your bones.
Breast Imaging & Mammography: Looks for breast abnormalities or changes, like cancer.
CT (computed tomography): A type of x-ray that creates very detailed images of the body.
Interventional Radiology: Image-guided procedures for diagnosing and treating different conditions.
MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): Uses a magnetic field to create an image of the body.
Nuclear Medicine: Uses a special camera and small amounts of radiation to see if your body's systems are working properly.
Ultrasound: Uses high-frequency sound waves to create pictures of the body.
X-Ray: Uses x-ray radiation to look inside nearly every part of the body.

The CHA Radiology team provides expert imaging services using the latest tools and technology. This lets us create very detailed pictures of the inside of your body, helping us better understand your health.

Radiology performs many different tests to find disease. This includes routine screenings of your colon, lungs, breasts, bones and other areas of the body.

In Interventional Radiology, we also do procedures to cure disease.
